Mindfulness in Motion is an approach to movement that ignites the innate capacity of both body and soul to heal from the effects of trauma and stress, which are stored in our cells. It is founded on the spiritual principle of non-violence, which dictates that power is not the result of gripping and strain, but rather of compassionate release. By encouraging a spiritual awareness of ourselves, we gain greater freedom and self-mastery.
At the heart of this innovation in movement is the understanding that all physical action has two components: the body being moved, and the being moving it. They are both distinct and separate, and yet together constitute the fundamental relationship necessary for life. Through guided motion, we can integrate matter and spirit, allowing our light to fill every ounce of our being, transmuting anything that is not for our highest good.
The Easy Yogi and The Gaia Revolution as hosts are honored and excited to welcome Tanya Rich and Judi Rich all the way from Canada to guide us during this retreat. Their approach to movement empowers alignment between body and spirit, releases tension, and energizes every cell. But more importantly, it promotes healing and empowerment of the being in that body, that we may live and express our full, elevated potential. Developed over several years, it recognizes that subtle, spiritual power has the greatest impact.
Movement workshops will be a combination of Pilates and Fusion. A fusion flow integrates the best of four core-based, body weight disciplines: yoga, Pilates, barre and fitness - providing a complete workout system for the mind and body. Being core- based, a Fusion workout invites the practitioner to develop heightened awareness of their inner and outer states, and to align with what is most inherent to the human spirit: graceful, controlled, restorative, and peaceful movement.

Tanya Rich is a certified Pilates instructor specializing in mind-body movement. Following a performing arts career, primarily as a dancer, she was introduced to several physical rehabilitation modalities to address a variety of injuries. After years of very athletic, dynamic and quite often, brutal movement, she discovered the joy of release work, and simply letting-go. But most significant was the realization of a great need to rehabilitate her relationship with her body, and ultimately with herself. Over 21 years ago she became a student of Raja Yoga meditation, as taught by the Brahma Kumaris (brahmakumaris.org), which has greatly influenced and contributed to the development of Spirituality in Motion.
Judi formally began her spiritual journey in 1992, when she discovered a Brahma Kumaris Center in her hometown of Calgary. From childhood, there had been interested in ‘the bigger questions of life’, and how the answers might contribute to a kinder world. Judi formally began her spiritual journey in 1992, when she discovered a Brahma Kumaris Center in her hometown of Calgary. From childhood, there had been interested in ‘the bigger questions of life’, and how the answers might contribute to a kinder world. Through the study of Raja Yoga, a spiritual practice, Judi feels she has not only found the answers she sought, but re-awakened a capacity we all have for deep contentment, peace and stability.
In addition to currently serving as the Centre Coordinator for the Brahma Kumaris Center in Calgary, Judi works as a graphic designer and fitness instructor. Although it may seem that the intensity & noisiness of fitness, and the stillness & silence of contemplation are incompatible, she has found that the opposite is true...that they actually enhance each other and create a sense of well-being when integrated.

Helen is a Raja Yoga Meditation Practitioner of nearly 30 years with 20 years of teaching practical meditation and dharma through lectures, workshops and television programs. Her years of living as a monk, a contemplative life of intentional solitude and surrender, has allowed her the focused discipline to dive deep into learning and understanding who we are innately, what it is we seek, and how we can be in harmony with ourselves, nature, and each other. While maintaining her work in the fast paced, money-minded financial industry, Helen was determined to find balance within the madness and share those tools with the community, to live a more mindful and yogic life regardless of lifestyle choices or circumstances.
E.Y.E.S is the Founder of Rent-Assaince Man, COO of The Easy Yogi and COO of mindfulCITY. He has worked in the food industry for approximately two decades. His philosophy on food is that the body requires nutrients to be healthy and food is just the pretty packaging for those nutrients. This is why he finds it important to create visually

This is why he finds it important to create visually appealing, delectable dishes from whole foods as part of a healthy lifestyle. He is also passionate about the intersection of healthy eating and functional movement to promote longevity, vitality, and confidence. His experience as athlete and martial artist has helped him understand how different bodies and minds function and he is determined to help his mobility clients see the mind body connection in terms of ability, strength and confidence. Yet , through Submerge Society, music, the arts and lyricism are his truest form of expression and transformation.
